How to activate the Archiving service (Exchange 2010)

    This guide will show you how to activate Archiving in the 2010 Control Panel.

    1. Log into the 2010 Control Panel.
    2. Click on Activate under the Archiving header.

    3. Choose an archiver password, choose your language and then click on Activate.

    4. Click on Settings.

    5. Choose either the Dynamic or Static type, and then click on Update.

      If you select Dynamic, all users with a mailbox will automatically be added to the archiver. If you select Static, you will have to manually add members to the archiver.
