Why there is a 500-email daily limit

  • Synopsis

This guide will explain why we have a daily email limit.
  • Applicable to

    All hosted Exchange 2010 accounts.
  • How to

    Explanation:

As a provider of Hosted Exchange business email services, PlexHosted must insure to always maintain an efficient, fast and reliable service. To maintain this service quality, we must limit to 500 the number of emails sent by a single user in a 24-hour period of time.

The reason for this limit is simple. As we speak, almost 90% of emails received by an internet provider is spam. Since it is impossible to analyze the content of all these emails, the vast majority of providers use an anti-spam analysis system based on IP reputation. Mass emails (legitimate or not) can be harmful to our IP reputation, delay email delivery, and lower our service quality. This is why an email limit will allow us to maintain a good IP reputation and continue to offer a high-quality service.

PlexHosted’s team determined that a 500-email daily limit is appropriate to insure fast email delivery and a service quality that exceeds your expectations.
