How to open another person’s calendar or other folder in Outlook 2010 (Exchange 2010)

  • How to

    Note: Before you can access the other person's mailbox data, they will have to grant permissions to you.
    1. Open Outlook 2010.
    2. Look in the inbox. The folder sharing email needs to have been received. Click on Open this Calendar.
    3. You should now see the other user’s folder.
    Note: If you use the "Open Other User's Folder" method as outlined, only the primary Outlook folders (Contacts, Inbox, Journal, Notes, Tasks) may be accessed; subfolders are not available. In order to access folders other than Primary Outlook Folders, you must share the entire mailbox.
